Today was one of those days. Started off pretty good and
then all of a sudden…BAM! Life hits you with a wammy. My initial reaction was
( I regret to say) was that of panic. I lost sight of who I was and Who’s I
was. I looked at the wind and the waves and my soul began to sink. By His
grace, I was able to call out to Him and He immediately rescued me. Was also
able to call on a friend with some sound advice and encouragement. By the end
of the day, I was back on track.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had a day or situation that just seems
to knock the wind right out of you; bringing you to your knees. Which, if you
think about it, that’s the position we should be in anyway! A position of
submission, enabling us to prepare ourselves for whatever may come our way. Too
many times we try and weather a storm standing in our own strength and wonder
why the devistation was so great. Humbling ourselves under the hand of God not
only provides protection but it also positions us to hear soundly and intimately
what He would have us to do. I took away a vauable lesson from today, life will
come at you hard and heavy sometimes but, “if you bend, you won’t break.”
