If you bend you won't break

    Today
was one of those days.  Started off pretty good and
then all of a sudden…BAM!  Life hits you with a wammy.  My initial reaction was
( I regret to say) was that of panic.  I lost sight of who I was and Who’s I
was.  I looked at the wind and the waves and my soul began to sink.  By His
grace, I was able to call out to Him and He immediately rescued me.  Was also
able to call on a friend with some sound advice and encouragement.  By the end
of the day, I was back on track.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had a day or situation that just seems
to knock the wind right out of you; bringing you to your knees.  Which, if you
think about it, that’s the position we should be in anyway!  A position of
submission, enabling us to prepare ourselves for whatever may come our way.  Too
many times we try and weather a storm standing in our own strength and wonder
why the devistation was so great.   Humbling ourselves under the hand of God not
only provides protection but it also positions us to hear soundly and intimately
what He would have us to do. I took away a vauable lesson from today, life will
come at you hard and heavy sometimes but, “if you bend, you won’t break.”

A journey of faith, a destiny of promise

Picture"A journey without a destination ain’t nothing but a circle.” O.B.

How many times are we going to walk around our mountain of destiny?  Haven’t
we learned anything from our sunday school lessons?  The children of Israel
wandered around in the wilderness for 40 years!  I don’t know about you but I
don’t have that kind of time to waste.  It took them that long to take hold of a
PROMISE that God had for them.
I ask the question, what’s keeping you from
entering into the promise of your destiny?   Fear?  Unbelief?  Doubt?  Laziness?
Complacency?   We ask for the blessings yet we don’t obtain them once made
manifest.  All we have to do is reach out by faith and grab it!

God is not an “indian giver” as we use to say when I was a kid…lol.  All of
His promises are yes and amen.  He WANTS to give you the desires of your heart
but so many times we pray amiss; not really sure if we want it or deserve it for
ourselves.  “Hit and Miss” prayer avail nothing.  Faith is what moves God to act
on our behalf.  He rewards those who dlilgently seek Him.

So, again, I ask the question, what is keeping you walking in a perpetual
circle around your destiny?   I suggest instead of walking around your DESTINY,
speak to the mountains of fear, doubt, laziness, complacency and unbelief…tell
them to MOVE!  Now is the time for you to enter into your destiny of
promise!

Picture"You were made for this"

When it seems like you’ve spent all your time on the back side of the mountain and you feel like no one knows what you’re going through, God is there with you. Watching and training you, developing your character and detoxifying your soul. All those seemingly lonely days and nights…tears cried in desperation because you could feel your purpose and destiny stirring on the inside; you just didn’t know how to get it out. That time was not in vain.

Our destiny is a goal set before us, designed with a purpose, for an appointed time. That time is now! Get ready to have your mind blown while walking out of the testing of the desert into your promised land of purpose. CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve passed the test…you are the worlds next COMING ATTRACTION!

the "I" in team

PictureWe all can make a difference, when we do our part.

To be a team player, you have to be on the team.  Not just in “spirit” but actual presence is required at some point.  It’s easy to wear the uniform and show up to the game but it requires participating in practice before game day.

Success is not just going to fall in our laps, we are going to have to put forth some effort to make it happen.  Your ability may get you on the team but it’s practice that hones your skills and determines your “play” time.  Don’t ride the bench of life content with just being on the team; be an active, productive asset.  They say there is no “I” in team, I beg to differ.  If “I” don’t do my part, the team will not be as affective as it should.

We each have a significant part to play, so let’s get our heads in the game.  When life puts you “in”, make your time in count and give it your all; the team needs YOU!

success: Automatic or Manual?

I got my 1st car when I was 21…1992 Ford Escort and it was a stick.  I picked that car for 2 reasons.  (1) that’s the one I could afford at the time and (2) it was a stick and I didn’t have to worry about anybody asking to borrow my car…lol.

One thing I learned early on is that, if you don’t know when to shift gears you can really mess some stuff up with your engine.  Once you get a feel for the car you can kind of tell when it’s time to move to the next gear to gain speed or slow down.  It took me a minute but once you learn, you never forget.

Some people prefer an automatic, easy and convenient…and that’s cool, I have one now myself.  Thinking back on that car at this point in my life has taught me a valuable lesson….everybody can’t drive a stick.

Picture"When we decide to answer the call, we still put God On hold"

"For many are called, but few are chosen.”  Matthew 22:14

There is a big difference between being “called” and being  ”chosen.” You have to answer the call.  Matter of fact, you answer the call because you ARE chosen!

Everyday is a new invitation to answer and accept the call of destiny on our lives.  God has placed us here for a reason; to live out His purpose through us.  Life was made to live and not just for ourselves.  It is a gift to be given to the world and lived to the fullest.

The world is waiting on you to break out of the box!  Problem is, we don’t answer UNKNOWN calls.

“Well, I don’t have a clue what I’m called to do.”  Good news, next time God rings your line, answer it!  He will instruct you every step of the way, IF you chose to accept your mission. You have been hand-picked to be a light in today’s world, just by being you.   He already knows what you’re made of and you were made for success His way.

Don’t waste another day wondering what you are meant to do; get connected and answer the call…it’s for you!
